The Midwest Masjid Islamic Center (MMIC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to propagating the teachings and practices of Islam. We strive to further the educational, cultural, and charitable interests of the Islamic community and mankind in general. Our mission is to promote the general welfare of Muslims in the Chicagoland and metropolitan areas.
About Us
Zongo, a Hausa term, describes West African communities of Muslim migrants and travelers. At MMIC, we embody the spirit of Zongo through the unity of our members. Despite being far from their homes, we gather Muslims from all regions residing in Chicago to create a rich and diverse Ummah, as guided by the Quran.
